1.3. iBooks Author:  http://www.apple.com/ibooks-author/ This app is great for students to publish their writing into a digital format. It turns their writing into a digital book where they can also add pictures to go with their writing piece. Their finalized books are published within the app and are able to be easily shared with others.

2. Learning Apps

2.1. Lexia: http://www.lexialearning.com/ This app provides students with a game like setting in the activities they complete for the reading, writing, and spelling practice. It also sets specific, reachable goals for students to keep them motivated. This app is beneficial for teachers and administrators as well as it provides detailed reports and each students growth and what skills they are struggling with.

2.2. Scootpad: https://www.scootpad.com/ This app allows students to practice reading, math, and spelling. The tasks students complete are are specific to their learning needs in all the areas. Teachers can also assign specific tasks for students.

2.3. MyOn: https://www.myon.com/ This app has a endless library of books for students to explore in a digital format. Students can read the book to self, as well as listen to it read to them while getting a visual display of the text and pictures. The app also highlights the words as they are read so they can practice following along. It provides quizzes after students finish reading the books to work on comprehension skills. Teachers can also use this app to create specific lists of books to share with their students.

Through the game like activities students complete, students are problem-solving and using critical thinking as there are no directions provided. It opens up a new way of learning for students.

Not only is does this app provide fun learning in a visionary way, but also has fun audio to go along with the content for students.

Google Translate:  https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/google-translate/id414706506?mt=8 This app app is very beneficial for both teachers and students as it translates words, phrases, and sentences into another desired language. This app is very helpful for school districts with a high percent of ELL students who come into school knowing little to no English.

3.2. Seesaw: http://web.seesaw.me/ This app is set up like a social media site (like Facebook) that allows students to upload pictures, video clips, links, voice recordings, and more. They can also comment on others postings and provide feedback to each other. It provides a great way for students to collaborate with one another in a digital format and share their ideas.

4.1. Brainpop: https://www.brainpop.com/ This app allows students to have access to student-friendly learning videos that are cartoon animated, making them visually appealing. Many categories of learning videos are available such as reading, math, science, social studies, and more. Along with videos, the app also provides quizzes and other activities for students to participate in regarding what they are learning about.

4.2. EduCanon: https://www.playposit.com/ This app allows students to watch interactive videos to enhance their learning. There are videos available for teachers to assign, and teachers may create their own interactive videos to make them content-specific or grade appropriate as needed.
