1.2.1. Teachers and administrators play an active role in the analysis, creation, and integration of new technology in the classroom. By taking part in the integration of digital resources, teachers have a stronger ability to aid their students in succeeding.

1.3.1. Teachers are advocates for life long learning and, as professionals, realize the importance of understanding the new digital age in order to competently transfer the information on to their students.

1.4.1. Leaders of education understand the imperative role that they play in the successful execution of integrating technology into the modern day classroom. By partaking in workshops, research, and self awareness, teachers and administrators pave they way for efficient and ethical digital use.

1.5. Access, Infrastructure, and Digital Learning Environments

1.5.1. All students, teachers, and administrators will have equitable and fair access to digital technologies and reliable internet. This will create a level platform in which to enforce the rest of the LTPF, and allow all individuals to achieve a high rate of technological success.

2. ICT Program of Studies

2.1. Communicating, inquiring, decision making and problem solving

2.1.1. It is important for students to have the ability to solve problems in a variety of ways. Whether it be discussing it with others, using research to back up their viewpoints, solving problems, or delegating resources in a group atmosphere, these traits are key in real-life situations.

2.2. Foundational operations, knowledge and concepts

2.2.1. Students need to be aware of all the the implications of technology in order to utilize its capabilities in an efficient, and ethical way. In order to understand the implications of the digital world in full, students must have a firm grasp on the operations, safety issues, ethical obligations, and integration uses of the technology they are using.

2.3. Processes for productivity

2.3.1. In order for students and teachers alike to be able to explore the digital world in full, they must first be proficient in the technological basics. This includes typing skills, organization of information, multimedia composition, and web navigation.

2.4. Impact of technologies in students lives and workplaces

2.4.1. Students need to become aware of the implications their online presence may have in their everyday lives. Technologies can be extremely helpful, but it is imperative that they are made aware that once something is shared in an online forum it never goes away. Using digital forums in a safe and ethical way is key.

2.5. How to determine which processes, tools, and techniques to use, and when to use them

2.5.1. Students should develop the critical skills for understanding what form of technology will be best suited for each one of their endeavors. By having the ability to differentiated the practical uses between each digital form, they have the ability to streamline their work and make efficient use of their time.

3. ISTE Standards for Students

3.1. Empowered Learner

3.1.1. Students play an active role in their own education. By aiding in the creation, development, and execution of their projects they become more digitally aware of their contributions to their own learning.

3.2. Digital Citizen

3.2.1. Students become aware of the power and influence they have being involved in such a global community when they are digital citizens. In term, they must learn how to handle this new found influence they have in a safe, and ethical manner.

3.3. Innovative Designer

3.3.1. Students will utilize a multitude of different technologies to design solutions to their problems. They will expand their knowledge base regarding problem solving, and become creative thinkers.

3.4. Creative Communicator

3.4.1. Students will hone in on their ability to express themselves and collaborate effectively with others across a multitude of platforms. They will be able to think critically in regards to what platform will be best suited to express their ideas, and how they can get their point across efficiently.

3.5. Global Collaborator

3.5.1. Students will be able to utilize multiple forms of technology to contribute to to the online global community. They will understand the various ways to communicate and collaborate with their peers to create a global learning environment.

4. ISTE Standards for Teachers

4.1. Facilitate and inspire student learning and creativity

4.1.1. Educators will use the background knowledge they have in technology to engage students, and help them become motivated about their own learning

4.2. Design and develop digital age learning experiences and assessments

4.2.1. Teachers will take part in creating innovative and modern ways to evaluate their students. These processes should maximize learning content through innovative technologies, while still maintaining the integrity of the subject material.

4.3. Model digital age work and learning

4.3.1. Teachers will convey through their words and actions the benefits and practicality of working with technology. By effectively collaborating and communicating with their students, educators can teach their pupils the benefits of digital learning beyond the scope of just the classroom.

4.4. Promote and model digital citizenship and responsibility

4.4.1. Teachers will not only express to their students how to use technology, but how to apply it appropriately. They will promote students to have a safe and ethical online presence, while simultaneously guiding them through the benefits of a global community they can find online.

4.5. Engage in professional growth and leadership

4.5.1. Teachers will strive to be life long learners, and continually grow both professionally and personally in regards to their digital impact. By utilizing the tools provided to them in their teaching environment, they can become leaders and advocates for educational technology usage.

5.1.1. Both of these concepts highlight the importance of using technology in a safe and ethical manner. It is imperative that educators promote the importance of using the digital world in a responsible manner, and express to their students that if these rules are not adhered to there could be negative consequences.
