2. Operate as SF Youth Convivia (just like every other convivia in Canada) Best structure for larger youth groups.

2.2.1. More Control Accept donations and grants directly as NFP Collect membership fees directly (possibly doable under another convivum) own board of directors

4.1. As an informal network, we set our own yearly priorities. "Food Waste" was idenfied as a good topic to kick-off SFYCanada

4.2. Operate under local convivia or start own convivium depending on size of membership

4.3. Work toward exploring national youth convivia. I think this will allow us to grow the fastest with our spread out population.

4.3.1. For example, in Germany national youth convivium means that convivia start with only a few members, but still have big impact. Germany, Duesseldorf SFY, 5 people host events for thousands

4.3.2. Make it so not every youth group has to start their own convivium and NFP

4.3.3. More political and funding potential

5. Operate through campus groups

5.1. University of Guelph Slow Food

5.2. Pros:

5.2.1. Lower membership fee ($10 - $5 to SF International, $5 to the campus group)

5.2.2. More control over events and budget

5.2.3. Own board of directors (2 faculty, 5 students)

5.2.4. Insurance is through the school

5.2.5. High youth population on campus, easy to find youth to target for membership

5.3. Cons:

5.3.1. May have to follow additional guidelines the school sets out (Ex: UofG has to get events approved by student association)

5.3.2. Need minimum 10 people in first year, 20 people in second year

5.3.3. $100 annual convivium registration fee
