4.2.1. Believed oracle bones could be used to communicate with their ancestors.

4.2.2. Ancestor worship was important to Kings/Nobles.

4.2.3. Believed ancestors had super natural powers.

4.2.4. Thought that once dead, your soul moved on to the after world.

5.1.1. Used ramps and levers

5.1.2. Used rope trusses to help support beams on ships/boats

5.2.1. advances with bronze

7. Geography and Agriculture

7.1.1. Their society was built around the Nile.

7.1.2. Regular flooding made the banks of the Nile very fertile.

7.1.3. Bordering the Sahara kept Egypt safe from invasion.

7.1.4. The Nile was the most important feature of Egypt.

7.2. Huang He

7.2.1. Annual flooding of the Huang He river made the banks very fertile.

7.2.2. The river carried loess, a dusty, fertile soil.

7.2.3. Wheat and millet grow well along the river.

7.2.4. The climate is cooler and dryer along the Huang He than in other parts of China.
